SELECTED CREDITS

Nathan Beverage is a composer for film, TV, and media, known for his emotionally resonant scores and profound musical storytelling.

Nathan recently completed music for the upcoming horror feature HOUSE OF TEARS, with an album release planned for later this year. His nuanced score for the award-winning indie drama WE WANT A has been heard by audiences around the country. Most notably, Nathan scored the horror short WHEN SHADOWS DANCE AT NIGHT, which was an official selection at the TIFF Next Wave Film Festival. In 2020, Nathan composed, recorded, and mixed the original music for FIGHTING CHANCE, a short film that he also wrote and directed. Since 2024, he has worked as technical score engineer on the shows CHICAGO FIRE and FBI: INTERNATIONAL. Nathan Beverage is the 2024 recipient of BMI’s prestigious Pete Carpenter Fellowship in LA.

With over a decade of compositional experience and a fluency in modern recording and production techniques, Nathan is just as comfortable in front of an orchestra as he is in the studio. Recently, he had the opportunity to assist a session for Jacob Collier’s Grammy award-winning album, DJESSE VOL 4. In 2022, Nathan Beverage was commissioned by the highly acclaimed conceptual artist Harriet Bart to write original music for her art installation RECKONING. The “mystically enchanting” installation was hailed by Minnesota’s StarTribune for its “evocative soundscape.” Nathan also collaborated with a Cincinnati-based fashion designer to produce a dance-beat purely out of recorded sounds of denim and leather. Nathan has edited and scored several trailers.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Nathan trained in both jazz and classical piano under some of the Twin Cities’ best musicians. Blending his background with a passion for experimental sound design and synthesis, Nathan crafts hybridized, genre-defying music. He takes pride in his professionalism, easy-going attitude, and ability to learn quickly and work well with others. Nathan creates with curiosity, believing each story has a unique sonic world waiting to be discovered. Nathan Beverage holds bachelor’s degrees in both composition and music production from the University of Cincinnati’s internationally renowned College-Conservatory of Music.

Testimonials

“All I told Nathan was I wanted the music to sound like a forest, but with no actual forest sounds. He said “great!” and delivered the perfect theme on the first try. Then, he went above and beyond to compose a credits song that perfectly captured the film. I plan to hire him again at the next opportunity”

Michelle Joy Jardine Director: We Want A

“Nathan is an incredibly skilled composer and was perfect for the job. His music simply elevates the material and is tailored to every scene with care. If you need him to work from scratch, he can. If you need something specific, he delivers."

Taye Alvis Director: When Shadows Dance At Night

“Working with Nathan is an absolute creative boost; he's professional, fresh, and knows how to compose for the screen. Certainly attribute much of my film's success with his score, and it’d be a pleasure to work with him again!”

Lucas McCready Director: Eternal Oblivion
